Ahead of the new series of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, the show's stars, Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse, and, of course, Ted, interviewed with the BBC - spilling the latest information surrounding the new series.

Speaking to the BBC Media team, Paul and Bob touched on the new series as one of the most challenging ones. The eighth series of Gone Fishing takes the stars back to places that meant a lot to them in the past and to completely new locations, rather than focusing on catching fish species as the central element of each episode.

The stars also touched on brand new elements in the series, such as night fishing for sea trout. While not giving too much away, the interview spoke on the types of fish the iconic duo are going after, including Grayling, Carp, Sea Trout, and evasive large Perch. Promising some great catches, hilarious humour, and the unmatched chemistry of Bob and Paul, the series is set to be one of the show's best.

Finally, Ted, the dog, got the spotlight, telling the team at the BBC how a doggy massage was one of his favourite bits of the season, how he gets paid with pocket meat, and why he thinks Daniel Craig could play him in a movie.

Check out the interview on the BBC ahead of the future season starting on Sunday, 26 October at 9 pm.
