A 42lb carp has been caught at Weybread Carp Fishery, as reported by the Eastern Daily Press. A record carp for the South Norfolk establishment, the carp weighed in around 2lb heavier than the previous record set on the lake.

Now boasting a handful of over 40lb carp, Weybread Carp Fishery is cementing itself as a leading carp and coarse fishery lake in the east of England, as well as nationally.

Currently, the fishery has around three carp, 40lb and above, with these fish growing at a healthy rate. Stocked with carp just over a decade ago, Weybread is a must-visit venue for quality coarse fishing.

Fancy a fishing trip down in Norfolk? You might even nab your very own personal best, if, of course, you are lucky enough to catch one of their elusive 40-pounders.
